In 2023 Context Media approached Ian Withnall to fill the roles of Series Producer and Supervising Post Producer on Season 2 of their awesome series, “For The Love Of Pets”.
Based at RSPCA Wacol in Brisbane, over the seven week shooting schedule, Ian managed up to five camera crews, shooting stories for 8 x 1 hour episodes for a primetime Friday night 7:30 slot.
The story mix ranged from rescues, to surgery and the emotional rollercoaster of finding loving new homes for the pets in need.
With a tight production period running right up to a rolling delivery to Channel Nine, the series was shot in the dynamic and complex world of the RSPCA Brisbane Campus and across town at Queensland Veterinary Specialists & Pet Emergency Hospital.
Following the successful shooting period, Ian and Sharen then relocated to Sydney for three months of post production at Evolution Post.
As Series Producer and Supervising Post Producer Ian managed four Post Producers and up to seven Editors working across four locations.
The series was delivered to Channel Nine and went on to rate at almost 400,000 viewers. A huge win and a credit to the entire team.
