ACSA Global Brand Film

“Australian Cotton – naturally the best” for The Australian Cotton Shippers Association.

Following the success of our micro documentary “Back to Nature” for EKKA 2017, Palatine Productions were commissioned by The Australian Cotton Shippers Association to produce a premium branding film.

The Australian Cotton Shippers Association (ACSA) represents the traders who buy and sell Australian raw cotton. Their primary function is to promote Australian cotton in export destinations.

ACSA needed an extraordinary video presentation that could showcase the Australian cotton industry to a global audience!

There was also a deadline with ACSA attending an export market development meeting in Turkey within a few months.

We carefully formulated a production that worked with the cotton growing season, which has its own epic narrative, so the story could be told using stunning imagery without the need for voice over.

Working together with ACSA, Palatine Productions chose the very best locations and industry practices to showcase.

Capturing the most stunning shots from seeders to seedlings, irrigation, harvesting, ginning and classing to the ship departing the port, the film takes the audience on a epic journey into a world rarely seen.

Shooting around the scenic farming areas of the Darling Downs and Goondiwindi, Palatine Productions were once more on familiar territory with our much loved rural community.

The Palatine Productions equipment depot was emptied of cameras, lenses, gimbals, drones, dollys, lights and every clamp and tripod we had to get the best angles and images possible.

We spent a lot of time sourcing the music track. It had to have its own voice, with enough grandeur to suit the spectacular scenes we captured, but also have plenty of texture to suit the many varied facets that the film covers.

Titled “Australian Cotton – naturally the best” the 4 minute film received a fantastic response at its premiere in Turkey in March 2018 and since launching in Australia in April 2018 has been hailed as one of the best representations of the cotton industry to date.

A special thanks to all who enthusiastically contributed their time to make the film possible: Matt McVeigh of McVeigh Partnership, Mick and Sam Simmich of Simmich Farming, Boss Agriculture Dalby, Olam/Qld Cotton Dalby Cotton Ginnery, Simon Corish of Corish Farms Australia, ProClass Goondiwindi, “Koarlo” Goondiwindi and Patrick Terminals Port of Brisbane.

“Australian Cotton – naturally the best” was a joy to produce and along with ACSA, we are very proud of this production.
