Ian Withnall was principal Field Director and DOP on the all new “Aussie Mega Mechanics” Season 2.
The new series was a Finalist in the prestigious 2021 ATOM Awards for Factual TV, and saw Ian Withnall recognised for his work as Director.
This show required extensive technical knowledge, great people skills and above all, high levels of producing and directing expertise.
Sharen Kenny and Ian Withnall from Palatine Productions provided plenty of production knowledge and resources to WildBear Entertainment for “Aussie Mega Mechanics 2″.
Due to access issues, Ian in his role as Director/DOP was solo out in the field and ran a main camera with up to 4 radio mics, 7 Gopro cameras, a DSLR gimbal and a drone ….. and still made award winning TV!
The trailer features mostly Ian’s work, capturing the colour and characters as they swing their spanners on the Mega Machines.
“Aussie Mega Mechanics” Season 2 premieres on Monday August 9 on Discovery Channel at 730pm.
