Ian Withnall was Series Producer, Series Directer, Principal Field Director/DOP and Writer for “Demolition Down Under” Series 1, produced by WildBear Entertainment for Ten Bold and Discovery Channel.
The six part Observational Documentary series follows the action packed lives of demolition experts Australia wide.
Aside from official Series Producer/Director roles Ian Withnall was also instrumental in finding and locking in contributors, fulfilling broadcaster and distributor requirements and general management of content and contributors.
Ably backed up by Sharen Kenny who took care of contracting, logistics, crewing and support, Palatine Productions played a significant role in this project.
ian’s initial work was formatting the new series, establishing graphics templates and building relationships with contributors and their parent companies, followed by a very intense six month production period.
The series aired on Ten Bold and Discovery Network and was a huge success, with Discovery buying another two series (20 episodes total) almost immediately.
The format and the graphics for the show remain unchanged and Ian played a role shooting and directing on Seasons 2 and 3.
This trailer was written, produced and directed by Ian Withnall as part of the opening super tease for each episode and also used as a sales clip for international marketing.
