Lightning Ridge in the NSW and Opalton, west of Winton in Outback Queensland are the two remote locations where Ian and the crew followed the rare breed of real Australians as they dig for the beautiful stones.
The episodes have high production value with the Field Directors needing to get the best story while keeping crew and contributors safe and well under extremely harsh and dangerous conditions.
Ian spent weeks in the NSW bush with Opal Queen Kelly Tishler and her Lightning Ridge crew in Season Two.
In Season 3, Ian was out on the field with Aaron Grotjahn and his uber remote digs 280km west of Winton in Outback Queensland in extreme conditions.
The successful blue chip Ob Doc series is a testament to the talented hard working team at Prospero Productions who produce the show.
